This Saturday, we’re going to celebrate our own version of Shark Week by hitting the streets with chalk art and our love for sharks.
What: Shark chalk mural and street corner bombs
Where: Victory Square, Vancouver on Pender and Cambie + downtown street corners
When: From Saturday 6pm August 14th until Vancouver rain washes it away
The Shark Truth team and local artists Larissa “Girl23″ Healey, Derrick “Boy” Humphreys, and Mathew Nordi will be creating a beautiful shark mural on the streets of downtown Vancouver to contrast the negative image of sharks that is often portrayed by Discovery Channel’s Shark Week. Although sharks can be dangerous – like any animal can be – sharks kill less than 4 people each year worldwide. They are misunderstood animals that need our protection and your help to spread the word.
