Earlier this week, a poll conducted by Mustel Group showed that an overwhelming majority of citizens across British Columbia – varying in cultures, education and age – support a national ban on shark fin imports. The key results:
- 83% of British Columbians are opposed to the importation of shark fins into Canada
- 76.8% of respondents of Chinese ancestry opposed the importation as well
- 76-88% of British Columbians varying across, age, household composition, education, household income, employment status, and region opposed shark fin imports into Canada
