Engaging the community to help save sharks from extinction

Founded in 2009, Shark Truth is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to promoting awareness, education and action for sharks with a specific focus on creating change in our community. Our philosophy is to create long-term champions from within the community to protect sharks and our oceans. Through unique campaigns like the Happy Hearts Love Sharks wedding contest, we have saved 4,000 sharks and counting from being eaten by diverting 40,000 bowls of shark fin from consumption.
